Project 2: Breaking Bad: The Rise and Fall of Walt and Jesse

My intentions with this project were to show the father-son relationship of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from the television series Breaking Bad. After watching the show all of the way through I realized that Walter and Jesse had the most dynamic and interesting relationship out of any of the other characters in the show. After realizing this, I decided that it would make an interesting video if I pieced scenes together from the show that explained the characters feelings towards one another. Not only does this video highlight the changes in the relationship between Walt and Jesse, it also shows the growth and development of each character individually and how they are similar in their ways.
I would categorize this video as transformative and also identity correction because it looks at each character in depth and how they have a father-son like relationship even though they were merely business partners. For those who haven't watched the show, (or haven't finished it) I will run through some of the main points in the video.

I start the video by giving some background to why they met and how they started doing business together.
Next, I show the high point in their relationship when they were making money and things were running smoothly.
Next, I show the conflict start to arise and we see Jesse begin to doubt Walt's intentions and morals.
Finally, we see the end of their relationship, when Jesse finally realizes that Walt isn't the man he thought he was.
In the final portion of the video, when Jesse makes his self-acceptance speech, he reveals his final thoughts towards Walt and everything that he and Walt had done.
The very last scene is Walt finally admitting that he started the business for selfish reasons and it shows him finally coming to grips with reality.
This video was meant to take you through every step of their unique relationship and thoroughly explain the resulting feelings towards each other after all was said and done.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it!
